From a butoh-like stillness and sculpturesque partnering to whirlwinds of athletic and explosive movement, 'Early' is a reflection on the human condition—an homage to the condition of love and passing, power and identity, and transition.
Set to an original sound-score, lighting, and set design by Composer-Choreographer Samuel Hobbs, 'Early' is a non-stop evening-length experience that features a cast of four dancers, braided into duets and solos, following the story of one person.
‘Early’ is a solemn and heartfelt experience within an intense and fluid soundscape of synthetic and natural instruments. Juxtaposed with lapping waves and wind, effortlessly walking the line of grace and power.
