One Thousand & One is a contemplative screendance film constructed as a single continuous shot, edited entirely in reverse. Set to Anna Tivel’s song of the same name, the work moves backward through a studio apartment in Northwest Portland as three dancers trace a shared, intimate passage through domestic space.
